Built out in 1998-2002, the Point Noble neighborhood is just old enough to have a well established community of friendly neighbors and mature landscaping, but yet be still very new in style and amenities. Point Noble homes range in size from about 5000 square feet to well over 7000 square feet, with recent offerings selling from about $1 million dollars to $1.4 million dollars. A typical Point Noble home features 4 to 6 bedrooms and a roomy, three-car garage. Of course, individual features vary from unit to unit, but recent offerings have included picture glass windows, media rooms, old growth cypress siding and trim, subzero wine cellars, and limestone and hardwood floors. Point Noble features a gated and guarded entrance for security and peace of mind, and a Homeowners Association.

History

Although you’d never know it to look at it the peaceful gated community of today, Point Noble has an exciting history. The neighborhood is named after a Herb Noble, a wealthy and successful gambler in the 1940s. When the organized crime bosses invaded the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area in the 1940s, Herb led a band of local citizens to resist this mafia infiltration — and the headquarters for their effort was a group of stone cabins on a hill that is located in what is now Point Noble.
Sixty years later, the peaceful area of Point Noble betrays nothing of its colorful past. One of Flower Mound’s smaller subdivisions, Point Noble nevertheless typically has one or two beautiful homes on the market at a given time.
